Date: Friday, May 16 – Sunday, May 18
Rooms: 9 rooms have been booked at the Cigatoo Inn – 4 with 1 queen bed, and 5 with 2 queen beds. More rooms are still available if we need them.
Cars: 3 rental cars have been reserved. These can be shared by 4 or 5 people to split the cost.
Transportation: Flying both ways is recommended, or at least on the way TO Eleuthera due to the inconvenient ferry times. David & Kathy will take the 12:00 noon flight. Please book your own transportation.
Airline schedules: a) Air Bahamas – leaving Nassau at 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Returning at 10:00 a.m. and 4:25 p.m. on Sunday. Cost is $150 round-trip.
b) Southern Air - leaving Nassau at 7:00 a.m., 12:00 noon, and 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Returning at 7:35 a.m., 12:35 p.m., and 4:35 p.m. on Sunday. Cost is $150 round-trip or $80 for a one-way ticket.
Ferry schedules: a) Bohengy – leaving Nassau at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, arriving at Governor’s Harbour at 9:15 p.m. Leaving Governor’s Harbour at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, arriving in Nassau at 9:15 p.m. The price is $115 round-trip and $70 one-way.
b) Car Ferry – leaving Nassau at 7:00 a.m. THURSDAY, arriving in Governor’s Harbour at 11:00 a.m. Returning to Nassau on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons only. However, the car ferry DOES go to Current at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, and departs from Current at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. The cost is $280 round-trip for a small car and driver, or $330 for a larger car. Additional passengers pay $80 round-trip..
Hotel Costs: Once you have taken care of your own transportation to and from Eleuthera, the hotel costs are as follows:
a) Couples sharing a single room (1 queen bed) - $150 per person
b) 2 people sharing a double room (2 queen beds) - $165 per person
c) Private room (1 queen bed) - $250 per person
The above costs include the use of a shared rental car, beer and t-shirts. Anyone taking their own vehicle will of course be exempt from car rental charges.
