Run Number:       1151

Date:                     13th October 2003

Location:               Fort Montague

Hares:                   Mary & Andrew Webster

Tingums:               Mary – toilet seat, Leo – rule book, Linda – bottom spanker, Marisa – rasta hat

The Run:               A very well attended run on such a hot morning was taken on a predictable, boring route that reversed one used by Marco on several occasions.  After leaving the car park at Fort Montague we eventually found our way west along Shirley Street, turning left into Montague Heights via a back check.  Brian Crick’s scrawny legs frightened the numerous dogs back behind their gates and we eventually found a shady box in Scotland Avenue to allow everyone to get back together.  By the time we had crossed Village Road and found a second box in Tuck A Way Road, Ron Randles, on a rare outing as a runner, found his hangover had caught up with his enthusiasm and he retired.  The run then took us on a predictable trail through Blair, with no cover from the hot sun, to a long run in from Dick’s Point.  The usual down downs were followed by a very enjoyable on-inn at Liz Randall’s home in celebration of her son, Shaun’s marriage to Erin.  We wish them every happiness for the future.

Down Downs:

The Hares – Mary & Andrew plus Ron Randles who was forgotten last week.

By the RA – James – shortcutting, Mark & Sam Barraclough also shortcutting, Ethel and Debbie for being talkies and not walkies, William for having an ice delivery, and Ewan & Mike for no apparent reason.

By the HM – Leo for getting the T-shirts, shame about the sponsors;  Alan as he is leaving shortly; and Peter & Linda for being daft enough to return.
