NASSAU HASH HOUSE HARRIER SHEET
The Run: The last Monday night run was very well attended with some old faces making a rare appearance – probably something to do with the promise of a new t-shirt. The relaxed mood soon turned to one of moderate concern however when Muffin man failed to show with the cool boxes, the prospect of warm beer after a run set by Dawn was not a pleasant one. Fortunately the evening was cool and the dray had some spare garbage bags to hold some ice. The run followed a tried and tested route starting on Thompson Boulevard and worming its way around the Oakes Field area. The evening sun had all but disappeared which caused Andrew to trip during the cross-country part of the run and a. sneaky short cut through a gap in a perimeter fence managed to fool the majority of hashers or were they too lazy to run along the disused runway adjacent to the sports stadium.?? The run terminated back in the car park where the street lights didn’t work (unusual for Nassau) and it was pitch black for the down downs, thanks to Peter who came to the rescue with his headlights and the other torch bearers for providing light for the beer and juice scrum.
